 StarGate-SG1 The Alliance
Sg-1will be a first person shooter with the additions of being both a Single player and Multi-player game for the PS2, XBox and PC platforms.

Stargate SG-1 'The Alliance' release dates have yet to be confirmed for Europe, Say near end of September 2005 for the UK.

The game utilizes its wealth from the ideas, background of the Stargate universe adding intensive team interaction and strong co-op as well as multiplayer elements to a fast paced action game set against the colorful background of alien planets as well as the military home base, StarGate command and the SG-1 team.

Stargate: SG-1 'The Alliance offers a unique story line of Anubis on a Quest of domination across the Galaxy, seeking technology of immeasurable power, SG-1 being the front line of Earth's defense against the Goa'uld's greatest fret.

The game ties in with events in the well known TV series and is filled with graphically stunning representations of locations - some of them familiar to fans of the series, some of them offering exciting new insights into the Stargate universe.

 US Air Force working on Stargate SG-1 game
Sg-1MGM Interactive and Perception plan to work closely with the US Air Force to ensure authenticity in upcoming Stargate SG-1 game.

MGM Interactive and developer Perception have today announced that they will be working closely with the US Air Force to ensure the authenticity of its upcoming Stargate SG-1 game. Based on the sci-fi TV show of the same name and first announced in March, the Stargate SG-1 game will be published on currently undisclosed platforms by JoWood.

 Goldsmith Talks Stargate DVD Scores
Sg-1Joel Goldsmith, the long-standing composer for SCI FI Channel's original series Stargate SG-1, told SCI FI Wire that he used different approaches to creating the scores for the two feature-length Stargate movies arriving on DVD.

Stargate: The Ark of Truth, now in stores, used some of the themes Goldsmith set up in the series for the Ori and the Replicators, while the upcoming Stargate: Continuum allowed him to be more expansive in his approach.

"First of all, I could use a symphony orchestra rather than electronics that simulate an orchestra," said Goldsmith, who worked on SG-1 starting with the pilot in 1997. "And because the Ark movie wrapped up some of the stories so well, I reached for a few of the familiar themes from the Ori and Replicators and then created different situations and new themes for Teal'c. Of course, everything was more cinematic."
